Richard McManus
Richard McManus has had extensive senior level experience advising financial institutions worldwide on issues of strategy, risk management, organisation and operational effectiveness. In addition to working in Europe he has worked in the US, Africa, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to joining London & Oxford he has inter alia been a Partner with PwC, AT Kearney and the PA Consulting Group. Richard has particular experience in property finance, having worked with key providers in the UK, continental Europe and throughout Asia-Pacific and having written a book on the topic. A key current interest is in strategic alliances between financial services providers and those in businesses which are converging with financial services sector (e.g. mobile telecommunications) since it is possible to both create stronger customer propositions and reduce the cost to serve. In addition Richard has recently worked in the credit card business (both issuing and acquiring) and he is familiar with the challenges faced by market participants as they seek to build transnational businesses in an evolving regulatory environment.
Richard McManus has an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Jesus College, Oxford and an MBA from INSEAD.
