Dr. Douglas Henderson is a financial specialist with experience in mergers and acquisitions, trade finance, project finance and secured finance in general. He has negotiated and financed projects in Asia and Eastern Europe where difficult country risks are a problem. He previously worked for Bank of America and UBS in a variety of roles with various geographic and product responsibilities including trade finance, structured and property finance, and general commercial relationships. Douglas Henderson qualified as an economist specialising in micro-economics and finance.

He takes a hands-on approach to projects (not just the “finance raising”), which involves an ability and preparedness to understand the scope of the project and the technical and environmental issues involved including the engineering aspects. His strengths lie especially in assessing performance risks in completing and implementing the investment, in managing the construction timetable and in preparing for operating the project after practical completion.

Douglas Henderson has a BA (econ), MBA, and Ph.D., and he is MSI and AIB.
